Are your Peripheral or Diabetic Neuropathies being misdiagnosised?

Every year thousands of people who have burning feet are diagnosed, by their physicians, with Peripheral Neuropathies as the cause of their burning feet. If they also have Diabetsis, it is a better bet that these people will be told that the reason for their burning feet is the Diabetsis and they have a condition known as Diabetic Neuropathies. Both of these conditions are related to each other and are changes in the nerves in the feet and legs.

Many of them are prescribed powerful drugs such as Lyrica, Neurontin, or Cymbalta to treat these neuropathies. I absolutely feel that in many cases (when these drugs do not work) these patients are being misdiagnosed and are taking these drugs unnecessarily.  Often many of these people do not have neuropathies, (either peripheral or diabetic) but just have a very common foot problem known as the Morton’s Toe (Long Second Toe), which can also cause burning feet. But, Morton’s Toe can easily be treated for $2-3.00. without any drugs.

The problem is the average physician has not been trained about the Morton’s Toe and many of them just assume that their patient’s burning feet is due to serious neuropathies and not the very common and easily treatable Morton’s Toe.  As you will see in about ten seconds, the Morton’s Toe is a well-established medical condition that just has been forgotten about and the modern doctor is not trained to think about.

I am not telling you that your physician is wrong   when it come to Peripheral or diabetic Neuropathies. What I am saying is that if you have been treated for several months for it, either with or without drugs, and you are not getting any better, it is time to start thinking that the reason for your burning feet is your feet, and not a complicated neurological problem like peripheral or diabetic neuropathies. For starter take your shoes off and see if you have a Long Second Toe which is associated with the Morton’s Toe. Then read everything you can about the Morton’s Toe

Morton’s Toe, JFK, and why you hurt

Dr. Janet Travell, wrote and taught for four decades that a common foot problem known as a “Morton’s Toe”  (Long Second Toe)  could be the real cause of back, hip, knee, leg, foot and ankles problems.  Dr Travell  was Presidents Kennedy and Johnson White House doctor.
A “Morton’s Toe” means having either one or both of two abnormal, inherited conditions of the first metatarsal bone of the foot.
  1. The first abnormal condition, and the most noted one, that can cause Morton’s Toe is where your first metatarsal bone is shorter than your second metatarsal bone.
  2. The second condition is when your first metatarsal bone is not as stable as it should be, and as a result, has too much motion. This is  known as “Hypermobility of the First Metatarsal Bone.”

Either one of these can be the cause why you got out of bed hurting  today.   You owe it to yourself and family to learn more about the Morton’s Toe

Why You Really Hurt: It All Starts In The Foot ,  is a ground breaking book regarding the forgotten  reasons for pain thru out the body

The book written by Dr. Burton S. Schuler, a foot specialist of Panama City, Florida and published by the La Luz Press, Inc.,   is the story of how one bone in your foot could be the real reason for pains thru out your whole body. This book is important because it offer the public new information about why millions of people suffer everyday with aches and pains, and offers new hope to get rid of problems they believed they would have to live with forever. It literally can be the “medical missing link”

In the  1920’s and 1930”s Dr. Dudley J. Morton of Yale Medical University  and Columbia Medical School wrote that a problem with the 1st metatarsal bone, known as a Morton’s Toe could be the  reason for most foot problems.  Dr. Janet Travel, White House physician to Presidents Kennedy and Johnson, and Professor Emeritus of Medicine at George Washington University took this concept further by writing and teaching that the Morton’s Toe could cause pain all over your body. She wrote and taught for four decades that a “Morton’s Toe could cause, back, hip, knee, leg   foot and ankles problems. This book will show how it can also cause fibromyalgia, sleep disturbances, and TMJ. The good news is that all of these problems can be treated with a simple pad that costs about two to three dollars.
