Leg Pains, Muscule Cramps, and the Morton’s Toe
A common reason, in my office for leg pain, and or muscle cramps, is due to Morton’s Toe. Dr. Dudley Morton as far back as 1935 wrote that if you have an Morton’s Toe your leg muscles can get over-stressed or strained from overuse, causing leg pain. He also said in his book The Human Foot that it can also disturb your sleep. Most doctors will not consider the Morton’s Toe as the cause of leg pains or Muscule Cramps. Instead they will look first for one of the more classical reasons, such as blood clots, dehydration, injuries to the leg, arthritis or perpherial vascular disease. But, as with all problems associated with Morton’s Toe, the treatment for these leg problems is a simple pad for your foot.
